STOP creating content.
START creating competence.
Creating content looks like this:
‘Nike marketing strategy’ thread
‘10 books every entrepreneur should read’ thread
‘How to learn anything fast - The Feynman technique’ thread
Creating competence looks like this:
My client closed a $2000 deal from the video edited by me
Here’s how I took my client's Twitter from 0 - 1500 followers in 30 days
My client was getting 2 leads/month before hiring me. Now he gets 20/month
Now. Which type of content is important?
Both are important for different reasons.
The majority of the people think black & white. They think in extreme.
First extreme thinks “I don’t focus on followers & engagement”
Second extreme thinks “I’ll first build my audience & then monetize it”
You don’t have to be extremist or black/white person.
Become a grey person.
Do content creation to get followers & engagement.
Do competence creation to get clients & sales.
That’s it.
Now go and create content & competence.
Good point Prasad. But what about people who are just starting out in their careers - How do you build competence without any social proof to back up?
